I'm Nathan Carter (aka Alter Natural) – a sound, music, and multi-media artist based in New Zealand. I strive to create art that immerses audiences in feelings of the sublime – beauty, immensity, drama, wonder, intrigue, mystery, tranquility, joy.

 

In my music, this creative drive takes the form of cathartic soundscapes, propulsive EDM grooves, and visually-inspired sound design. In my multi-media practice, I turn towards both audio-visual art and coding to realise these feelings (animation/digital art, audio visualisation, and software synthesiser design). I also enjoy extending my craft through numerous collaborations – performing bands, music recording projects, screen media (films, games), and installation works.
